Step aboard Pootle, a delightful 32ft narrowboat built in 1978 by renowned builder David Jones. Painted in a striking traditional livery of navy, red and cream, she boasts timeless style with fresh blacking applied in April 2025. Though compact, Pootle has everything a boater needs for comfortable cruising or laid-back living afloat.

Entering from the cruiser stern, you’re welcomed into a cosy open-plan galley and saloon. The galley is surprisingly spacious, equipped with a circular sink, fridge, and cooker, plus an impressive amount of worktop space for preparing meals. Opposite sits a charming dresser-style storage unit made from real wood—both practical and characterful.

The saloon features a comfortable sofa that converts into an extra bed, set beside a traditional Boatman solid fuel stove that brings warmth and a homely glow on chillier evenings.

Next you’ll find a wet room with a shower and cassette toilet, neatly designed to maximise functionality. At the bow lies the fixed double bed, offering a peaceful retreat with views out onto the water.

With her inviting atmosphere and well-thought-out layout, Pootle is ideal for weekend escapes, extended holidays, or even as a full-time liveaboard. She’s a lovingly maintained boat that exudes charm, tradition, and a touch of whimsy—ready to bring joy to her next owner.
