Emancipation

Meet Emancipation, a striking 2012 narrowboat built by Paul Widdowson, painted in a vivacious red that turns heads wherever she moors. With a black cratch cover over the bow deck and a pram hood sheltering the stern, she’s as practical as she is eye-catching.

From the stern, you’re welcomed into a beautifully light and airy open-plan galley and saloon. The galley is stylishly designed with sleek black worktops, cream cabinetry, and all the essentials—including a freestanding cooker, undercounter fridge, and stainless steel sink with drainer.

The galley flows seamlessly into the saloon, where an L-shaped dinette invites relaxed dining and conversation. The attractive table converts easily into a double berth, making this space both sociable and versatile. A solid fuel stove with a smart hexagon tiled surround adds warmth and character, perfect for cosy evenings aboard.
