Half a Shilling is a lovingly hand-built 60ft semi-traditional stern narrowboat that radiates charm and comfort from bow to stern. Painted in a cheerful blue and red livery, it features both a pram hood cover at the stern and a cratch cover at the bow, offering protection and versatility in all seasons.

Step aboard via custom shallower steps at the stern—designed for easier access—and you’ll find yourself in a spacious bedroom fitted with a cross double bed, a generous storage drawers, and even a washing machine tucked neatly into the layout. The bathroom follows, complete with a full-size bath and overhead shower, a wash basin, and a macerator toilet, offering comfort and convenience rarely found on the cut.

Midships, the Pullman-style dinette provides a stylish space to dine or relax, and easily converts into a double berth when needed. A side hatch here adds light and ventilation, perfect for sunny days moored by the towpath.

The galley is a cook’s delight, featuring a freestanding cooker, fridge, microwave, and a unique circular double sink. With ample worktop space and clever cupboard storage, it’s as practical as it is characterful.

At the bow, the saloon offers a cosy retreat with two easy chairs, a TV, and a multi fuel stove to keep things toasty on cooler evenings. Central heating runs throughout the boat, ensuring comfort year-round.

As a Broker, our understanding is that this vessel should have been built and correctly CE marked to satisfy the requirements of the Recreational Craft Regulations but no such proof has been provided.
